www.hitting-mechanics.org is the "brainchild" of Paul Nyman founder of SETPRO, Sports Engineering and Training Products. Every attempt will be made to make www.hitting-mechanics.org the premier web site for those who wish the most factual information regarding how the body swings a bat to hit a baseball.

With respect to www.hitting-mechanics.org , the role of Paul Nyman is 99% support. Which includes the following:

1. Initial setup of the www.hitting-mechanics.org web site.

2. Help in the initial selection of moderators.

3. Establishing the initial www.hitting-mechanics.org purpose and mission statement does well as operational guidelines.

4. Once the forum is underway, provide opinions and information on a timely basis.

Paul Nyman's goal is to establish the structure and mechanics of www.hitting-mechanics.org and then to let it do whatever it's going to do.

Paul Nyman also reserves the right to have the final say over all matters regarding www.hitting-mechanics.org. Paul Nyman hopes that www.hitting-mechanics.org will be viewed as a totally independent entity whose only mission is to improve the state of hitting mechanics knowledge and information.

The primary emphasis is on developing a player's abilities to swing and hit. It is envisioned that the primary audience for this web site will be parents and coaches of players aged 6-16. This is not mean older players are excluded. What it does mean is that most who are looking for hitting help and information are either players or parents/coaches who have young players in this age group range. It has been shown that the age group from birth to approximately 12/13 years of age is the most critical time for developing swing/hitting abilities and skills.

www.hitting-mechanics.org is NOT a commercial web site. There are no Products or services sold on www.hitting-mechanics.org.

Every attempt will be made to actively solicit postings from all who are in the business of hitting instruction and/or training equipment's as well as the opinions of the general Internet baseball population.

Initial efforts will focus on developing a team of moderators who backgrounds represent a diverse and all-encompassing base of swing and hitting knowledge. This means moderators who are parents of young players or coaching young players are hardly desirable.

Every attempt will be made to solicit participation from what might be called "the hitting gurus".

As an incentive to solicit their participation, those who are in the business of selling hitting instruction and information, their participation will be recognized through banner promotion i.e. those who participate on a regular basis will have a banner placed on the www.hitting-mechanics.org web site allowing those who are interested to further pursue information regarding the programs offered by those for selling instructional services and information.

The primary method of conveying information will be an attractive forum.

It is envisioned that the forum will consist of several main categories.

1. HITTING MECHANICS THEORY AND APPLICATION. This forum is for those who wish to pursue an in-depth understanding of how the body swings and hit the baseball or softball.

2. HITTING MECHANICS QUESTIONS. This forum is for those who have specific questions regarding hitting issues.

3. HITTING MECHANICS TRAINING. This forum is for those who have questions regarding how to best training to hit a ball.

4. HITTING MECHANICS TRAINING PROGRAMS AND EQUIPMENTS. This forum is for those who wish to present their experiences with programs and equipments that they have purchased or are unaware of.

These categories are not "cast in stone" and are subject to further review and revision.
